Summary Description: Responsible for day-to-day effective operations of one or more multi-unit residential properties through preventative maintenance, building improvements, policy adherence, 'handyman' capabilities and quality tenant relations.
Responsibilities: Conduct responsive, respectful and professional tenant relations including address lease violations and tenant enquiries Responsible for building attractive appearance and appealing atmosphere including cleanliness, organization and good repair Perform General interior and exterior maintenance including repairs, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, appliance issues, upgrades, renovations and landscaping Ensure policies, procedures and operations are implemented effectively and efficiently while maintaining full compliance with applicable current regulations and contracts Maintain and conduct property inspection; including mechanical systems, common areas, units, fire safety as well as building envelope Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and ensure compliance including participate in required training Advise on vendor and supplier contract terms and scheduling Conduct inventory control of maintenance/cleaning supplies and equipment Maintain accurate and comprehensive work order documents and logs
Education / Training: High School diploma or equivalent Related Experience: Five years’ experience in related role Property management Maintenance technician Skilled trade
Skills / Knowledge: Working computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel Working knowledge of building operating systems including water systems, electrical, heating, cooling, fire and sprinkler, fire pump and generator Basic understanding of contract terms and residential leases Knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, standards and requirements Comprehensive knowledge of building code Capabilities: Excellent maintenance diagnostic and remediation aptitudes Manage multiple tasks and ability to meet deadlines Customer service orientation Solid communication and interpersonal skills working with diverse styles Responsive to changing priorities and requirements Consistently professional in demeanor and appearance Well-developed organization and strong problem-solving skills Team and collaboration skills Exhibit tact and composure under pressure Reliable and demonstrate strong work ethic
Compensation: Live in Supers will have Rent included in this non smoking building, Heat, Hot water, Power, Parking space, cell phone, computer computer, printer are also provided. There will be tools and resources provided to help support successful execution of the role, with specifics for day-to-day expectations and training to allow for an effective transition.
