In business for over 40 years, Insul-Twin Systems Ltd. is a Commercial Contractor located in Port Coquitlam, BC. Our focus is on Siding, Insulation and Firestop/Fireproofing primarily on new multi-family construction projects. We service Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
The role requires:
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Wall, Floor and Roof Assembly Details/Specifications based on Architectural Drawings is an asset. Knowledge of the BC Building Code and BC Energy Step Code as it relates to Insulation is an asset. Initial and ongoing training will be provided.
Experience using construction take-off software. STACK Construction software preferred. Initial and ongoing training will be provided.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with Builders we regularly do work for and prospect new business.
Completing take-offs and preparing estimate pricing based on labour & material quantities. Saving all related documents in company network.
Preparing and submitting estimates to prospective Builders. Following up to offer advice, problem solve, revise Estimate if necessary to ‘Win’ the business. Get feedback on pricing.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
2-3 years of experience in construction cost estimating.
Estimating Certificate, education in a related field or equivalent work experience an asset. Candidates with construction experience may be considered.
Strong math ability and detail oriented.
Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations and meet Estimate submission deadlines.
Confident English communication skills – spoken and written.
Ability to stay organized and work effectively with a variety of team members.
Computer skills: MS-Word, Excel, Outlook.

Salary: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
