JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Field Service Technician. The position provides service and support for customers throughout Canada with immediate openings available at our facilities in Barrie, Ontario and Kelowna, British Columbia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include but not limited to)
o Field and remote service support for mechanical breakdowns and equipment issues
o Installation and startup of equipment modifications and upgrades
o Emergency callout service for Mechanical breakdowns
o Wire Rope Rigging
o Hydraulic system Trouble shooting and repair
o Extensive travel
OTHER JOB DUTIES
o Welding
o Minor electrical trouble shooting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
o 5 years’ experience maintaining ropeway equipment
o 4 years’ experience in field service environment
o Journeyman Millwright or active apprentice status
o Prior service work and customer relations experience
o Demonstrated sound mechanical aptitude
o Solid knowledge of rigging as well as rigging principles
o Outstanding MVR
o Ability to work at heights
o English Proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Basic understanding of electrical lift controls and Ski lift electrical schematics
o Fluent in French and English
