Banff Adventures is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and competent individual to join our head office team in the role of sales and marketing coordinator. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the mountains and wants to help grow and represent our company. The role is permanent, full time (30 hours/ week) and includes both sales & marketing duties:
Sales & Marketing Duties
- Develop marketing plans & tactics
- Assist in business development planning
- Manage and develop client & supplier relationships
- Implementing marketing strategies
- Manage the development of all marketing collateral - ads, brochures, flyers etc
- Assist with website development, maintenance and reporting
- Prepare design briefs
- Have an eye for design
- Prepare and implement a strong Social Media plan (including FB/Twitter/Instagram/Blogs)
- Prepare monthly sales reports
- Assist the Reservation Manager in setting sales incentives for staff
- Assess customer satisfaction through the development of surveys and mystery shopper programs
- Respond to customer review sites and platforms
- Update website listings on referral sites
- Set up training and product knowledge sessions with resellers
- Attend community networking functions and workshops
- Manage fundraising events
- Attend tradeshows and sales conferences
- Assist with developing sales training programs & plans
- Supervising potentially 1 or 2 people
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have at least 1 year sales & marketing experience
- Have a Bachelor's Degree
- Have a valid work visa (valid for at least 12 months)
- Be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Have a strong work ethic and high customer service standards
- Have experience with social media platforms and planning
- Have experience in the tourism industry (experience & understanding of Bow Valley tourism and business operations a bonus)
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be detail orientated
- Be familiar with basic design programs
- Be comfortable attending tradeshows and presenting
- Live in the Bow Valley (bonus)
