PROJECT COORDINATOR
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the VP of Construction, you will be responsible for assisting with administrative tasks related to your assigned projects. You will organize and communicate all the details of the projects and specific assignments to team members and serve as a liaison between those team members and the project manager.
ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist with preparation of permit packages by coordinating drawings and information required for the application and approval process and assist in obtaining all other municipal permits.
- Prepare bid analysis spreadsheets and recommendations for PM approval.
- Prepare the subcontracts and purchase agreements for execution.
- Review and Cost Code project invoices before routing to PM.
- Maintain accurate and up-to date logs for drawings, vendor/subcontractor lists, RFI'S, change orders and track responses and advise Project Management team on status.
- Organizing reports, invoices, subcontracts, and other financial files. As well as assisting in the month end billing process.
- Prepare and review Proposed Change Orders (PCO’s) with PM and submit to consultant after PM Signs.
- Ensuring documentation is maintained throughout the length of assigned projects.
- Assist with preparation of permit packages by coordinating drawings and information required for the application and approval process and assist in obtaining all other municipal permits.
- Provide meeting minutes for applicable meetings as directed to attend.
- Assist PM with project close out document management, including updating and distributing deficiency lists.
- Prepare O&M manuals.
- Coordinate LEED documentation as required and submit monthly reports.
- Participate in project post mortems.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years construction experience.
- Ability to work independently is imperative.
- Team player and capable of thinking outside the box.
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude.
- Resourceful, flexible, and well organized.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, deadlines and key stakeholder relationships.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong construction software skills in areas such as Microsoft Office (Word, Project and Excel)
- Sage experience an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Construction experience, college or technical training an asset.
- LEED knowledge an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
