Are you passionate about the Guelph CHC’s Vision, Mission and Values and working with our priority populations who are: homeless or at risk of homelessness, low income, newcomers to Canada with language barriers, moderate to severe mental health and/or addiction issues, moderate to severe disabilities, without access to primary care, aboriginal communities, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis, LGBTQ+ populations, other marginalized groups, and vulnerable children and their families experiencing violence, family conflict, social isolation and attachment struggles? KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Lived experience of substance health issues
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and write reports
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a team and independently
- Experience working with organizations who provide direct services to active substance users
- Competed undergraduate degree in social services or a health-related field
- At least 1-yr experience working in social services or a health-related job
- Available for meeting with project partners 9-5 at least 3 days/week, Monday-Friday
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES
- Summarizing and presenting research
- Organizing and facilitating project meetings
- Planning and accomplishing project-related goals and tasks
- Building relationships with project partners
- Leading discussions to generate clear understanding of orientation/educational needs
- Organizing curriculum for onboarding addiction-focused peers
- Developing educational modules
