The Grande Prairie Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and flexible individual to support adult programming staff and assist with outreach activities. The successful applicant will help plan and facilitate adult programs, represent GPPL at community events, and perform other duties as assigned.

- An out-of-the-box planner who isn’t afraid to try new ideas
- Passionate about programming for underserved populations (people with developmental disabilities, newcomers, indigenous peoples, seniors and LGTBQ+)
- Ready to make the library shine at community events (Canada Day, Heritage Day, Pride Carnival, Pow Wow, Seniors’ Week etc.)
To comply with grant funding requirements, you must be:
- Of Metis ancestry
- Between the ages of 15 and 30
- Registered for full-time studies in the Fall 2023 semester (September to December)
- Registered with the Rupertsland Institute and meet eligibility requirements
Position Details:
- Work dates: Monday, May 8, 2023 to Friday, August 25, 2023
- Wage: $18.36/hr (plus 9.4% vacation/holiday pay)
- Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts
- Successful candidates will be required to submit a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment
