Job Responsibilities:
Main functions:
- Supports Store Management
- Responsible for the successful management of the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
Reports to: Store Manager and Assistant Manager
Duties:
Driving Sales:
- Maximize sales with effective floor management and motivation
- Manage the staff and the staff experience
- Motivate, train and coach individually and as a team
- Evaluate team members
- Implement staff contests ( Vendor and Company sponsored )
- Support the Product Knowledge sessions for self and team and track attendance
- All other staffing responsibilities such as ensuring proper staffing, scheduling and zoning on the sales floor
- Ensure that all staff are properly trained with and adhere to company policies and procedures
Customer Experience:
- Provide customers with an excellent in-store shopping experience
- Handle repairs as per appropriate
- Assist in ensuring that return authorizations to vendors are being efficiently managed by the stock supervisor
Stock:
- Assist with end of season transfers, markdowns and attend inventory counts
- Reconcile any differences/discrepancies post inventory
- Maintain communication to the team regarding brand communication and any special instructions throughout the season
- Work directly with the Store Manager and Stock Supervisor to ensure a smooth and seamless operation of the stockroom
- Train sales associates on the importance of maintaining a neat, tidy and organized backroom
Competitors:
- Monitor competitors in the marketplace for pricing, brand awareness and styling
Working Conditions:
- 20 + hours per week
- Hours will include evenings and weekends
- Letellier is open for selected statutory holidays; availability is mandatory for these days
Qualifications:
- Previous retail management responsibilities
- Strong sales and service skills
- Excellent motivational skills
- You enjoy training and coaching
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Proficient spoken French
- Excellent professional judgement
- Punctual, meticulous, presentable and reliable
- Courteous with staff and the public
- Strong computer skills
- Some lifting 10 - 30 lbs
- Able to multi-task and execute smart decisions under pressure
- Standing for long periods of time
- Ability to easily climb ladders
- Enjoys collaborating with others to grow the business
