Sarsfield Colonial Home is looking for a full time cook to join our team.
-Qualified candidates must have must have successfully completed the Institutional Food Service Worker’s Certificate Program and/or hold a diploma or certificate of chef training or culinary or have the equivalent experience as a cook in long term care.
- Preferences will be given to individuals who have experience in food services in either long term care or chronic/acute health care.
- Must be knowledgeable of the (Provincial) Ontario Food Premises Regulation and Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating.
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions in English or French. Proficiency to be bilingual is an asset.
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift. There is much repetition in the tasks, must be able to organize time so to vary duties limiting repetitive movements.

All Employees are required to get a rapid test done 2-3 times per week as per the Ministry Guidelines.
