Responsibilities:

Act as a strategic partner with the organizations leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives

Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the HR team
-
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, talent management, and employee engagement
-
Support recruitment and selection processes, including interviewing, and selection
-
Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a positive experience for all new hires
-
Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and providing guidance and support to managers and employees
-
Provide HR-related training to managers and employees, including performance management, leadership development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the organization, including employees, managers, and external partners
-
Serve as an employee champion to ensure that processes and relationships are fair and equitable, that communications are open, and that conflict is managed effectively.

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory/statutory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field with minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR advisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPHR is an asset

General knowledge of and experience in all functional aspects of HR, with a demonstrated ability to manage both tactical and strategic HR functions

General knowledge of skills development and capacity building strategies

Solid skills in MS Office Suite, including proficiency with reporting and metrics

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Adept at collaborating with others, and contributing individually

Adaptive self-motivator with a can-do approach and thrives in fast-paced, expanding, changing, and growing environment

Bilingual English and French
The state of the language situation and the assessment of the language needs of our company justify the requirement of knowledge of a language other than French for this position. In this case, the successful candidate for this position is required to have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written, due to the fact that the tasks to be performed include the responsibility to maintain, on a continuous and daily basis, relations with our Canadian team, whose main language of oral and written exchange is English, and to be able to discuss scientific and business concepts competently and in detail in this language.
