How You Will Contribute:
The Analog ASIC Integration Team has the mandate to develop algorithms and test methodologies to optimize the performance of high-speed circuitry at the front-end of Ciena’s Wavelogic ASIC’s.
State-of-the-art high-speed circuits for optical communications used in Ciena Wavelogic ASIC’s require complex algorithms and testing schemes in order to be provisioned for peak performance. These circuits have become ‘analog processors’ containing a great degree of tunability and digital assist functions.
Reporting to the , as an Analog Engineer, you will assist in the design and specification of high-performance fixturing, establish appropriate provisioning, control and screening algorithms, and measure performance using state-of-the art lab equipment and on-board ASIC test instruments. Post-processing of results using signal processing techniques will be required to determine circuit characteristics and performance as well as establishing root cause of impairments.
You will be a member of a team that works closely with high-speed circuit design, e/o, PCB, firmware, system and manufacturing teams to find solutions to achieve the best optical line performance for Ciena’s end customers. The optimal provisioning and control solutions are transferred as methodologies for ASIC and system level test and to the firmware that controls the system in the field.
